EPISCOPAL FARMWORKER
MINISTRY OF LA SAGRADA FAMILIA
Responding to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of farmworkers
The EFWM is a parish ministry of La Sagrada Familia in the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina. Based in Sampson County, we serve agricultural workers (chiefly crop field workers and meat processing plant workers) and their families across Eastern rural NC. EFWM has a history dating back to 1978; it has always provided direct services, education, and other programs in support this vital community of people at the heart of our nation’s agricultural system. In 2002 the EFWM founded the very parish which now administers it. Here are some of our programs:
Sunday Services
Celebrating the Holy Eucharist at La Sagrada Familia, the parish church located on the ministry campus, every Sunday at 12 pm.

Summer has begun, and with it, agricultural workers have entered their busiest season.
We are accepting donations of food and clothing for our farmworkers—specifically non-perishable food and men's clothing that is either new or used but in good condition—because work gets done better with proper nutrition and comfortable clothing.
